April 16, 2018 – Day 168 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Karate Kid Moves – Damion watches as his Sensei demonstrates the karate move that was made famous in the movie and follows along during his Little Warriors Karate Class this afternoon. When photographing in low light situations with your iPhone try to catch your subject at it’s peak action for the sharpest photo.

April 15, 2018 – Day 167 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Milestones – This weekend my 6 year old nephew Shutterbug Xavier took part in the Spring Photography Weekend at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park in Dawson Springs, Ky. This was his first time competing in an event and he participated in the Children’s Division where won the Bonus Category with a B&W Photo of the boat dock, 2nd Place in the Water Category with a shot of the Waterfall at Pennyrile and his 3rd place photo was in the Landscape Category with the sun setting over Pennyrile Lake! We’re all very proud of him. Capturing milestones in the life of those you love are the best moments!

April 14, 2018 – Day 166 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Waterfall – Today’s photo of a small cascade of water was shot using the “Live” photo feature on my iPhone 7 Plus. It’s a real nice way of getting the smoky look to your waterfall type pictures that you take with your iPhone. After you take your “Live” photo go to the camera roll, find the photo you like and swipe up! You’ll see different effects that you can apply to the photo and Long Exposure is the last one on the right. Give it a try! This was after a heavy rainfall during the Spring Photography Weekend at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park in Dawson Springs, Ky.

April 13, 2018 – Day 165 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – The Door – I spent today shooting pictures for the first day of the Pennyrile Forest Resort Parks Spring Photography Weekend in Dawson Springs, Ky. One of the categories for the contest is Black and White so this shot fit in nicely with my challenge as well. Found this old weathered door sitting against more weathered boards of and storage building on the park grounds. I was drawn to the gray on gray!

April 12, 2018 – Day 164 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – KFC Light – Stopping by Kentucky Fried Chicken to pickup dinner after a day of railfanning in southern Indiana I found the store had been remodeled since the last time I was in and they’ve added this unique light over one of the round tables. I think it fits my “Lamps and Lights” series pretty well! Want to improve your photography series with a long-term project? It’s not as difficult as you think. April 11, 2018 – Day 163 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B&W Photo Challenge – Stoney – Today I was out on a Photographic Adventure with my nephew Shutterbug Jayden and we visited the community of Hanson, Ky where I used the portrait mode on my iPhone to capture this environmental portrait of friend and local artist Stoney Whitehouse at his shop.
