November 11, 2018 – Day 376 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Veteran’s Day – I knew my B&W portrait today would be one of a Veteran, as it is Veteran’s Day after all. I attended our parade here in Madisonville, Ky, which is said to be the largest in the state, both as a Veteran myself and to watch my niece and nephews in their first parade. While there I found my portrait subject, Ralph D. Bruce, Senior Chief, USN, and grabbed this shot of him as we were chatting about his service, as we waited for the parade to begin.

November 10, 2018 – Day 376 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Royal Wood – Today for my month-long B&W portrait challenge I decided to go with this environmental portrait of Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Royal Wood from tonight’s Coffee House performance at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts here in Madisonville, Ky.

November 9, 2018 – Day 375 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Our Butterfly – Today’s portrait is of my niece Elaina after she got her face painted like a butterfly tonight at her school’s Fall Festival.

November 8, 2018 – Day 374 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Jayden – Today’s portrait is of my nephew Jayden doing one of the many things he loves to do, eat a banana split at Dairy Queen!

November 7, 2018 – Day 372 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Brad Downall – Today’s portrait is of Brad Downall, the Executive Director of the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts here in Madisonville, Ky. A 1983 graduate in theatre from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Brad worked in technical theatre in the Twin Cities and Duluth before moving to Madisonville, Kentucky in 1991 to serve as the first Technical Director at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts at Madisonville Community College. Brad was promoted to Executive Director in 1999 and has focused on growing community-based activities such as the Summer Arts Academies and reviving community theatre while maintaining the quality of the presenting program and arts-in-education programs. Brad is also a member of the Kentucky Presenters’ Network and is on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Theatre Association.

November 6, 2018 – Day 371 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Damion – Today’s portrait is of my nephew Damion’s new Minion toy! One of these days I’ll actually get a picture of them, but this will do for now! LOL

November 5, 2018 – Day 370 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Photograph the foot – Today’s portrait is of my niece Elaina! Well, sort of! I tried to get my portrait today of my niece Elaina and she just wasn’t in the mood, so this is what I ended up with! I still love it as it is so her!! Don’t worry about not being conventional in your portrait work as it will allow you to have more storytelling images sometimes! Think outside the box!

November 4, 2018 – Day 369 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Jeremiah – I’ve that for the next 30 days I’m going to try to do a B&W portrait a day with this challenge. I’ve not really used the portrait feature of the iPhone a whole lot so I’ve decided to work on it for the next 30 days. The first portrait is of my great-great nephew Jeremiah today after church as we were eating lunch. I can tell after working on getting a photo of this 2-year-old that using the portrait mode on kids is going to be a bit more of a challenge! Step outside your box today with your photography by doing something different!

November 3, 2018 – Day 369 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Waiting Room with style – This is ceiling of one of the waiting rooms in the historic Indianapolis Union Station at downtown Indianapolis, Indiana! If only the building could talk, the stories it could tell!

November 1, 2018 – Day 367 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – The Waiting Game – This young boy was playing a game on his mom’s phone, that seemed to require him to get up and move around a little, as they were waiting for their car to get an oil change. Sometimes photos and puns just happen!

October 31, 2018 – Day 366 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Rainy Day – While waiting for my nephew Jayden to get out of school on this rainy Wednesday afternoon I shot this interesting abstract of my windshield and a railroad crossing sign! Pictures are all around you! Just open your eyes to them!

October 30, 2018 – Day 365 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Eye Contact – My niece Elaina makes eye contact with “her Tabatha” after school this afternoon. These two always make a bee-line for each other when she arrives. I’m not sure which one loves which more. This also marks one year of shooting B&W with my iPhone project! We’ll see where it takes me down the road!

October 28, 2018 – Day 363 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Keeping it simple – This came from waiting for my dinner order at our local Kentucky Fried Chicken. I sat in a booth as I was waiting and captured this shot of the edge of the table with the booth back. It speaks to me!

October 27, 2018 – Day 362 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Jeremiah the Cat – Today my niece Jeanne had her annual Halloween Party and Birthday party for my nephew Xavier and Jeremiah came as a cat! I just love this expression!!
