I’m beginning to delve into the world of Long Exposure Photography! I’ve been intrigued by pictures I’ve seen using this technique and have decided to learn the ins and outs of doing it and see if I can apply it to my train photography! These first two are of the new JW Marriott hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

November 4, 2018 – Day 369 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Jeremiah – I’ve that for the next 30 days I’m going to try to do a B&W portrait a day with this challenge. I’ve not really used the portrait feature of the iPhone a whole lot so I’ve decided to work on it for the next 30 days. The first portrait is of my great-great nephew Jeremiah today after church as we were eating lunch. I can tell after working on getting a photo of this 2-year-old that using the portrait mode on kids is going to be a bit more of a challenge! Step outside your box today with your photography by doing something different!
November 3, 2018 – Day 369 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Waiting Room with style – This is ceiling of one of the waiting rooms in the historic Indianapolis Union Station at downtown Indianapolis, Indiana! If only the building could talk, the stories it could tell!
November 2, 2018 – Day 368 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – The Panes – Lines, windows and reflections make for an interesting pattern picture of the side of the new JW Marriott building in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
November 1, 2018 – Day 367 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – The Waiting Game – This young boy was playing a game on his mom’s phone, that seemed to require him to get up and move around a little, as they were waiting for their car to get an oil change. Sometimes photos and puns just happen!
October 31, 2018 – Day 366 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Rainy Day – While waiting for my nephew Jayden to get out of school on this rainy Wednesday afternoon I shot this interesting abstract of my windshield and a railroad crossing sign! Pictures are all around you! Just open your eyes to them!
October 30, 2018 – Day 365 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Eye Contact – My niece Elaina makes eye contact with “her Tabatha” after school this afternoon. These two always make a bee-line for each other when she arrives. I’m not sure which one loves which more. This also marks one year of shooting B&W with my iPhone project! We’ll see where it takes me down the road!

October 28, 2018 – Day 363 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Keeping it simple – This came from waiting for my dinner order at our local Kentucky Fried Chicken. I sat in a booth as I was waiting and captured this shot of the edge of the table with the booth back. It speaks to me!
October 27, 2018 – Day 362 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Jeremiah the Cat – Today my niece Jeanne had her annual Halloween Party and Birthday party for my nephew Xavier and Jeremiah came as a cat! I just love this expression!!

October 23, 2018 – Day 358 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Grandparents Day – Grandpa David enjoys some quality time with Elaina today during Grandparents day at her and Damion’s School. Special events like this always provide a good opportunity for photos!

This was at twilight looking up a light pole in the parking lot of our local Kroger store at dusk. Different perspectives will always add impact to your photographs!
October 25, 2018 – Day 360 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Trick or Treat – My great-greats Journey, Elaina, Damion, Jordan and Jayden pose with their grandma Jeanne yesterday before heading into her workplace to do some Trick or Treating yesterday in Owensboro, Ky. They’ve been stopping by her office to do this since before most of them could even walk!
October 20, 2018 – Day 355 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Window Artists – Ever since I can remember, at least since I was a child over 60 years ago, the kids in our community have taken part in the annual Halloween Window Painting Contest in downtown Madisonville, Ky. October 19, 2018 – Day 354 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Shades of Color – Today I had lunch with a friend at Pizza Hut and while we were checking out I spotted their tub of crayons and grabbed this photo of the different colors in shades of black and white.

October 6, 2018 – Day 341 – iPhone 7 Plus Daily B/W Photo Challenge – Reserved Parking – Today I led the Central City, Ky location for the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk and I think this “Reserved Parking” photo might be my entry into the “Leader” contest for the event! We all had a great time, as we do every year!
