March 24, 2015 – Paducah and Louisville’s 4504 leads a loaded coal train out of Warrior Coal loading facility at Manitou, Ky on its way back to the PAL main to head south at Madisonville, Ky.
March 18, 2015 – Evansville Western Railway local MVL-1 heads south to Evansville at Mount Vernon, Indiana with a trio of GMTX lease units, headed up by 2608.
March 5, 2015 – CSX Q025 heads south out of Mortons Gap, Ky, with engine 5272 in the lead, on the the Henderson Subdivision after a heavy snowfall.
March 7, 2015 – CSX northbound empty grain train V104 meets southbound G038 loaded grain train, with BNSF 4851 on point, at the south end of Rankin siding at Rankin, Ky on the Henderson Subdivision.
March 18, 2015 – Norfolk Southern’s loaded coal train NDN-1 follows closely behind Evansville Western’s local MVL-1 as they both head south from Mount Vernon, Indiana.
March 10, 2015 – Union Pacific 4367 heads up a empty CSX grain train as it heads north at MP 269 approaching White City holdout on the Earlington Cutoff at Mortons Gap, Ky on the Henderson Subdivision.
March 18, 2015 – A Evansville Western Railway employee works on leased unit GMTX 2622, which is tied to another leased unit NREX 6486, an ex Santa Fe Railway, at the EVWR office in Mount Vernon, Indiana.
March 12, 2015 – CSX Q645-10, headed up by UP 6716 (Ex. Chicago & North Western Railway Operation Lifesaver Engine) passes through Crofton Cut, north of Crofton, Ky, as it heads south on the Henderson Subdivision at dusk.
March 18, 2015 – Norfolk Southern’s NDN1 heads in with a loaded coal train for the “Sitran Dock” at West Franklin or Mount Vernon, Indiana, depending on whose map you’re looking at. The dock is a subsidiary of M-Class mining that also owns Savtrans (the 12 miles of rail between McCleansboro, Indiana and Sugar Camp mine). Once unloaded at the dock the coal is transferred by conveyor to their state-of-the-art barge loading facility nearby.

March 16, 2015 – CSX Q588 heads through Madisonville, Ky as it approaches the North Main Street overpass, on it’s way north on the Henderson Subdivision with engine 4001 in the lead.
March 7, 2015 – CSX loaded grain train G038 pulls out of the south end of the siding at Rankin, Ky with BNSF 4851 in the lead as it heads south on the Henderson Subdivision.
March 9, 2015 – Paducah and Louisville’s 70MAC 4522 backs a loaded coal train back down CSX’s Peevee Spur of the Morganfield Branch in Madisonville, Ky to the Warrior Wye. They do this occasionally when there’s heavy congestion on CSX’s Henderson Subdivision, which on this day there had been a work curfew that had trains backed up in sidings between Crofton, Ky and Evansville, In.
March 11, 2015 – A little Evansville and Western action at Mount Vernon, Indiana. 3838 leads a freight into town as a trio of engines set next to the EVWR Offices waiting for their next assignment.
March 14, 2015 – CSX engine #4 leads loaded coal train N255-06 south on the Henderson Subdivision past the “S” curve leading to the north end of the Romney siding at Nortonville, Ky. Crews are working on repairing the hillside at this point which has been slowly slipping it’s way toward the tracks due to being saturated with water from the recent snow melt and rain. Behind #4 is CSX 4564 and Florida East Coast 718.
