March 11, 2015 – CSX Q597, with BNSF power, sits in the fog on the main at the south end of the siding at Rankin, Ky as it waits for a northbound train to pass it in the siding, on the Henderson Subdivision.
March 6, 2015 – Paducah and Louisville empty coal drag heads along CSX’s Morganfield Branch towards Dotki Mine at Clay, Ky to pickup a load of coal just past the Happy Lane crossing outside of Manitou, Ky.
March 12, 2015 – CSX Q645-10, headed up by UP 6716 (Ex. Chicago & North Western Railway Operation Lifesaver Engine) heads south at the north end of the siding at Kelly, Ky on the Henderson Subdivision.
March 10, 2015 – CSX R687 (a rerouted train) with Union Pacific 6237 rolls past a small landslide from the recent snow melt and rainfall as it works it’s way through the “S” curve approaching the north end of the Romney siding at Nortonville, Ky on the Henderson Subdivision.

March 10, 2015 – CSX Q029, with engine 137 in the lead, passes Q026 as it sits in the siding at Romney just south of Nortonville, Ky on the Henderson Subdivision.
March 11, 2015 – Evansville Western Railway engine 3836 pulls up next to the company offices in Mount Vernon, Indiana after dropping off several cars to a local factory. At left is GATX lease unit 2608 along with several other EVWR engines. Today was a spur of the moment trip to the EVWR as I’ve never done any railfanning along it, but plan on that changing!
March 10, 2015 – CSX engines 487 and 4556 pull out of Paducah and Louisville’s West Yard in Madisonville, Ky heading south with a loaded coal train. The train has been sitting in the yard since March 5th, when 18 inches of snow fell on the area.

March 9, 2015 – CSX T882-04 moves north on the Henderson Subdivision past a RJ Corman construction crew that has begun to rebuild the engine barn at Guthrie, Ky on the Memphis Line, which was destroyed late last year by fire, along with several engines.
March 7, 2015 – GMTX Switcher 163 sits in a house track on Broadway Street, just north of CSX’s Howell Yard as CSX engine 5268 works on building a train at the yard in Evansville, Indiana.
March 6, 2015 – Paducah and Louisville Railway engine 2115 breaks through the snow at the Broadway Street crossing in Providence, Ky as it leads the first empty coal train to Dotiki mine in Dixon, Ky since 14-18 inches of snow fell on the region.

March 4, 2015 – A Paducah and Louisville Railroad crew moves a empty coal train north through the driving snow at Richland, Ky with Union Pacific 7190 and Ferromex 4664 trailing. This was the start of the 16-19 inches of snow that fell on the area overnight.
