Union Pacific : UP 1995 Heritage Unit (C&NW) – SD70ACe – Heads north from the La Rue Hills bridge at the Big Muddy River, as it heads toward Gorham, Illinois. I had shot the train coming over the bridge and didn’t notice that this unit was trailing as the last unit. June 26, 2015 – Today I went on a railfanning outing with several other railfan friends to catch trains on UP’s Chester Subdivision in Southern Illinois. This shot from our first stop was my first train of the day. It’s Union Pacific’s engine 7791 leading a southbound intermodal over the La Rue Hills bridge at the Big Muddy River, at MP 94.6, as it heads toward Wolf, Illinois. I think all in all we caught about 25 different trains on our trip so it was a great day. I’ll be posting shots from this trip over the next couple weeks. Hope everyone enjoys!
