February 11, 2012 – A year of portraits – Dai Carter

Today’s environmental portrait is of Hopkins County Central High School’s Dai Carter, as he lifts 265 pounds, during the power clean event Saturday afternoon, during weight lifting competition, at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School. Dai is a sophomore at the school and is a running back for the football team.

I used Photoshop CS5 for postprocessing in this portrait. Adjustments were made in levels and some slight darkening was done using the burning tool, before applying Topaz Adjust’s Photo Pop filter to sharpen up the image a bit more.
