I have to admit I like photos of old, beat-up and rusty machine parts. Especially when they kind of remind me of a robot or some futuristic machine like this one does. It even seems to have a face of sorts to me.
When out looking for something to photograph don’t limit yourself to your own comfort zone. Look for things that you’d not normally photograph or think of as beautiful. You may surprise yourself with what you end up capturing.
I used the Hipstamatic App with DC Film and the Jane Lens to capture the original photo. I then did some post processing work on it by opening the jpg in Adobe RAW and processing the image. After that I opened it in Photoshop CS6 and did some final processing with the Topaz Adjust filter.
