Reminiscent of a scene from the 1940’s we find reenactors are getting ready to board “The Battle Train” at Pleasant Lake, IN, on August 31st, 2024, where they were transported to the “battlefield” to take part in a mock battle as part of the Rolling Victory Weekend. This was the first time the event hosted battles during the weekend event and passengers and reenactors were transported via this train to participate and watch the battle.
According to their website: Rolling Victory was a three-day living history event celebrating American military, railroad, and home front history featuring vintage train rides, World War II reenactors, battles, a big band orchestra, and an immersive and educational experience for all ages in Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
