X marks the spot on the Henderson Subdivision I keep returning to this spot called Monarch, where the CSX Henderson Subdivision crosses under the Paducah and Louisville Railway (PAL), attempting to catch a shot with traffic on both lines, here in Madisonville, Kentucky on the Henderson Subdivision. There was a PAL train in the neighborhood when I put the drone over Monarch on March 16th, 2021, catching this shot of CSX Q500 as it headed north, however the PAL local didn’t pass until much later. I’ve found over the years that persistence pays off in the long run, so I continue to revisit this spot, waiting for the right moves to appear!
